Getting the Best from MDA: Analysis of Interaction Between Supply and Recipient Side of MDA

Alison Krentel and Christiana Titaley as public health researchers in the Reconstra network took part in this study, which targeted to present the tools and data collection process from an economic and cultural perspective, to support the efficacy of mass treatment in reducing the number of elephantiasis in Indonesia.

This research was conducted in three regions of Indonesia, namely Depok (West Java), Agam Regency (West Sumatra), and Batam City (Riau Islands) in 2014-2015. The UI Health Research Center and the Indonesian Ministry of Health were the main partners in this research. The project was carried out with financial support from the Task Force for Global Health through the Reflecting Society in Australia.
