Direct Supervisor: The incumbent receives direct supervision from the Program Manager and is expected to work independently and report to the supervisor periodically.

Physical Demands: The work requested does not involve undue physical demands. However, frequent travel is expected to deliver the responsibilities.

 

Reconstra is a company that offers excellent services in research, training, and consulting, conducted by experienced researchers who are experts and public health practitioners. Reconstra covers the area of human resource development, which aims to improve public health and welfare in terms of nutrition and education. Reconstra has more than ten years of experience working on a range of health topics to support government decision-makers, including the Ministry of Health, BAPPENAS, Ministry of Home Affairs, and TNP2K. We have established collaboration with non-government stakeholders, including UNICEF, FAO, WHO, USAID, DFAT, Nutrition International, GAIN, The University of Sydney, and the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Program.

 

Reconstra and AIHSP are working together to facilitate the Ministry of Health in strengthening surveillance systems, explicitly designing an integrated health information system at different levels. To achieve the aim, Reconstra is seeking applications from qualified, skilled, and responsible Indonesian citizens to work full-time as a District Facilitator (Health) on strengthening the delivery of its program goals. Reconstra is seeking a candidate who has excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, has good work ethics, can build and maintain good relationships with stakeholders, and can work well both in an individual and a team environment. The district facilitator will be the official representative of Reconstra, who will closely coordinate with the key stakeholders. These skills are required to ensure the job is performed safely, efficiently, and effectively. The place of performance for this position will be in Badung and Buleleng district, Bali, Indonesia, and is expected to start by the end of June 2022.

 

Job Responsibilities

    • Facilitate excellent coordination between Reconstra and stakeholders (AISHP Bali, Province Health Office, District Health Office, Department of Agriculture, Department of Communication and Information, Puskesmas in Badung and Buleleng, and other related stakeholders). Organize and attend coordination meetings, training, and other planned activities
    • Assist in the management of study permits at the regional level if needed.
    • Assist in implementing and collecting data in the field; this includes scheduling, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), requests for secondary data, and other related matters.
    • Facilitate research team in accommodation and travel
    • Maintain data quality (by being honest with the data).
    • Maintain good rapport with stakeholders.
    • Perform any other programme related activity as directed by Reconstra.
    • Report to the Program Manager periodically on the situation in the district.
    • Be responsive to the correspondences with Reconstra and stakeholders.
    • Undertake written recording and reporting activities or incidents, as required.
    • Maintain the reputation of Reconstra during research activities.

 

Employee Requirements

    • A Master’s degree in public health/health discipline with a minimum of two years of professional experience in health projects is preferred, or a Bachelor’s degree in public health/health discipline with minimal five years of professional experience in health projects.
    • Have excellent computer skills, especially in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent skills in communication in Bahasa and English (especially speaking and writing) and good communication in the local language will be added advantage.
    • Have previous experience in making reports (especially in English and proven by attaching reports that have been made).
    • Have previous experience in working and communicating with the government/stakeholders.
    • Have good time management and coordination skills.
    • Have the ability to listen well to instructions and feedback.
    • Effectively presents data and information to colleagues.
    • Have the ability to work with minimal supervision, under pressure and show initiative.
    • Able to travel extensively.
    • Have a vehicle to travel that can be used for this project.
    • Commit to working for the duration of the project.
    • Should be a resident of Bali (Badung or Buleleng district)/particular preference would be given to the local resident candidate of the respective districts (Badung or Buleleng district).
